Wild Goose Chase
Here is a wild goose chase that I'm going to send you on because it sounds fun.
There are (at least) two current "slam dunk" crosses (think Secretariat as sire, with an Affirmed mare, but not those names). They are Thoroughbred crosses. One cross has gotten 100% freaks to date and one is at 75% freaks. There are enough babies from the cross to get sample sizes for me to write this post, but small enough that they aren't discovered yet.
Go.

Re: Wild Goose Chase
I feel like Private Affair has got to be one of the Damsires in question, just not sure which sire. Napoleon?

Re: Wild Goose Chase
Napoleon x Private Affair is too large a sample size I think.

Is everyone just assuming it's DR?
For 100% Freak I'd assume a sample size of no more than 5-8 tops.

My immediate gut instinct is that it is TM but then I was too tired to really dig into that.Danny Derby wrote: ↑4 months ago Is everyone just assuming it's DR?

Nice. Race with lions seems to be a decent broodmare sire. Especially since he doest look like a great sire by numbers.

Yes his mares seem to be worth their weight in gold. Off the top of my head (I'm at work and not supposed to be typing this) all his mares in my barn have produced at least stakes or betterAndrew Chillin wrote: ↑4 months ago Nice.
