Miler mixer auction closes today: a lot with no bids

Post by Lucas Davenport »

A lot of productives with no bids.

Gallops with miler mixers, IMO, tend to be a bit lower than with the other categories. In other words a miler productive might be more like a productive +.

And what do you do with a productive colt: well you geld him, he becomes allowance-like, and you run him in claimers, where if he gets claimed your $1 bid becomes an instant profit. Properly placed there is no reason a productive doesn't win 20-25K in a year: not necessarily this year, but by this time next year, yes.

There is money to be made for newer players who want to do something other than hang out at Trial Park. Yes, it is a bit of work. Not everything in life is easy. Best to all, Lucas.

PS: Six of the Appy's are late bloomers; Eight of the Paints (including three allowances) are late bloomers, and Ten of the QH's are late bloomers.
The Hub Group of Farms: where saving your boarding and shipping dollars is always a priority, especially when you don't know where the next race will take your horse.
