Do you want gallops to stay or go away? Why?
Is there a reason this question is in every Edge interview? I thought this issue was resolved several years ago and wasn’t even aware it was something being looked at again.

I kind of agree. If I knew mid-year I would play differently. I kind of like the big unveil when it is too late to breed more or rage-quit before the SCXander Zone wrote: ↑3 months ago Don’t turn back the clocks on what’s not broken !!

I want gallops to stay. I'll do one better. Please stop locking the useful information and features behind Game Points or sim $ fees or having the Steward on speed-dial.Xander Zone wrote: ↑3 months ago Don’t turn back the clocks on what’s not broken !!

Re: Do you want gallops to stay or go away? Why?
My proposal was not to eliminate anything already in place.
Just an option to find out a horse's gallop status early, if you're willing to pay for it.
Heck, if I were running the game, I'd charge 10 game points per word on the forum
Just kidding

Thought Lily made a great point in this weeks edge.
This game requires a crazy amount of delayed gratification and patience. It's very nice to have a few things that provide instant (ish) gratification. Please no changes to gallops.

Re: Do you want gallops to stay or go away? Why?
Making gallops something we pay for either in GPs or Sim money only hurts the Poorer stables. It would not be a fair thing to do.
As some here stated, the Sim is a game that requires a lot of patience, so have a few fun 'instant' things we can do with our horses is a plus for the game.
I wish people would quit trying to find problems with solutions that are working just fine.
And as for paying funds to help run the game....instead of these ideas that are basically a slow torture of nit picking us with everything having to have GP points or game points needed to use...stop that slow tortuous creeping and maybe just make it a yearling cost to play the game...with no more in-game costs.
(and yes, I'm being facetious with that idea).
But still, there are many more ways to pump funds into the game without adding fees on things we've had in the game for free.
And I for one, do love the gallops to let me know how my breeding attempts went.
I like the idea of being able to focus a lot more on my quality yearlings...so yes, if I see I have a freak, I'll pay game points to find out it's equipment. I'll spend money to insure it, and I'll spend GPs to put them into barrier races.
Take away the gallops or charge for them, I won't be spending any funds to figure out a horse. Which would be a small loss for the Sim, but there are probably many players out there who would do the same...and those gallop fees or stopping gallops would prove a determent to funds going into the Sim
