My turf horses slacked HARD XD

Just combining all my breeds here)

3 freaks (Eclipse the Demon x Real Big Frighten (pacer colt), War Like Me x One More Kiss (filly), Private Affair x Pyrocumulus (colt), all late bloomers
10 stakes (Cataclyzm, Rathalos, Circles in Corn (appy sprinter), Champion, Illicit Affairs, Valley of Fire (versatile), Pismo Beach, He's Judgeandjury (paint mid), Syncline (paint router), Jamaicanmecrazy (appy router)
38 allowance
40 productive
15 solid
7 claimer
1 different career (chaser)

All in all, not terrible, but I feel like I should be doing better on the top end with my mares.
I had a goal last year to actually breed all my mares - or at least plan their breedings - throughout the year instead of doing a bunch in the last couple of weeks in a couple of sittings. This did not happen, as im pretty sure i bred at least half of them week 15 or later, and indeed, out of the 13 stakes and freaks, only 4 were bred week 15 or later. I know part of it was due to the bad finances I had mid year, but that shouldn't have stopped me from using the booking feature. Clearly I need to do better there haha

Anyways, it has been a long while since I bred a dirt router colt who galloped freak as a yearling, so I'm pretty excited about that!

I also saw that, despite his tiny first crop, Temple of the Cat already has a freak to his name! Congrats to Lee Cara!

I also had a couple of stakesers become freaks: this Auguste Rodin colt and this Versatile colt by Bannerlord
I have a stable full of cats

Not my best year either but I'm pretty happy with my 7 Stakes horses, and I now have an absolute army of allowance yearlings, which is always fun!

My birthday filly turned out Stakes, which honestly made my morning :)
Stakes sires are Alacazam, Bugs Bunny, Drift King x 3, Solarpunk, and Stormcrossed.
Thrilled to get some last minute stakes from some pensioned studs, hopefully they can carry on the legacy.

Didn’t give breeding my best effort, was largely absent this year due to personal reasons. Zero freaks to show for it.

I got what I put in, I suppose!

Gallops make no sense to me I bred 460 DS hens and some of the nicest DS mares in the game to top studs All A or A plus hypos and not a single freak that would be like Danny Derby not getting a DR freak ……. Like seriously how is that possible

I was fairly happy this year, 1 freak and 4 stakes. A LOT of Allowances. I did not breed tons this year.

1 Freak TM Late Bloomer Colt - by Secret Omen
1 Stakes TR Late Bloomer Filly - by Have Proof
1 Stakes TS Progressive Filly - by Gord's Secret
1 Stakes TM Late Bloomer Filly - by Secret Omen
1 Stakes DS Late Bloomer Filly - by My Scorpio

The thing I am most happy about is my own stallion Secret Omen did very well with his first, very limited crop. A couple of days ago I knew he was hypoing top tier, but I am very glad the gallops matched!

169 foals
1 freak
6 stakes
39 allowances (23% which is a small increase over last season's 20.5% gallops)
69 productives
21 solids
33 claimers
no DCs

23 peak

My freak - www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=1852367
This is a fun one. The name was inspired by a 5x4 cross to "Andre" that you can't see in her 4 generation pedigree and then she's named after a character in the Melanie Rawn "Sunrunner" books.

Honorable mention to my mare Red Reck who produced a LB stakes on a lease out to a friend. This is her third LB stakes of her four most recent foals.

Edit: Corrected my math.

From 187 foals (not including any chasers), I got 13 stakes, no freaks. Fun part is that 4 of the 13 were sired by first time sires.

Sires of those stakes are…
Block Out The Noise
Christian
Cisco
Escobar
Ivor (x2)
Most Valuable Player
Moulay El Hassan
My Scorpio
Quinny
The Farewell

Pleasantly surprised, as I felt rushed and had low expectations. From my TBs, I ended up with five freaks:

Primetime x Call of the Wild (Wilderness) colt
Lightsong x Etoile (Napoleon) colt
Xyst x Kiss Me Once More (Nokk) filly - leased mare from Brian Leavitt
Kingdom of Spiders x Swiftly (Heart of the Storm) filly
Fuel x Especially Stormy (Storm) filly)

And 18 stakes gallopers, sired by: Backstreet Boy, Beau, Can't Take the Sky, Champion, Cody's Wish, Exist, Flame Throwing, Grand Canyon, Ivor, James Bond, Napoleon, Owligator, Quilombo, Romario, Sport of Kings, Strange the Dreamer, Ted Lasso, and Valar

68 TB's. (226 altogether if I included the mixers)

0 Freaks. I have yet to experience the joy of a freak yearling. Someday...
8 Stakes
21 Allowance
20 Productive
13 Solid (I'm looking at you Turf mares. You're all gonna get a one way ticket to Greener Pastures, I swear!)
6 Claimers (Again with mostly Turf mares, and some of AW!)

Sires of Stakes:
Authentic
Be Right There
Golden Sixty
Holland Road
Strange The Dreamer x 2
Twelve Days of Xmas
Unforgiven

Overall, I think I'm getting a little better at the breeding side of the SIM each year, but my best foals almost always come from leased mares and I need to seriously rethink a few things. Especially with my personally owned Turf and AW mares being pretty disappointing this year.

The happiest surprise was breeding only 11 Throughbred DR's with--only one leased--and getting FIVE stakes gallopers???! I may never figure out how that happened!

216 allowance(111 LB)
