Out of 185 TB flats:

Freak: 2 (1%)

Stakes gallopers by:
TM - Golden Sixty, Jardins Airlie, 3 x Nightwatch, Racing Heartbeat, Tithanos, Typ, Valley of Clover

Yes, looks like it could be my best crop to date. 🦄

(Also found a stakes LB appy sprinter by Yorkshire Terrier - who my auto correct apparently wants to rename "Yorkshire Terror" - and three older horses improve to freak.)

I did manage to breed freaks this year haha not much to write home about other than that. The funny part is I was excited about my DR freak LB colt, and then realized his maternal granddam gave me a freak progressive filly from the same sire 🤔

Trying not to be excited about my colt because it seems everyone and their dog bred a freak DR 🤪 but this is the first season in quite a few where I have bred a freak yearling. All my stallions and mares like to produce late maturing things so having freak youngins is a fun time!

I bred 137 TB foals and 75 various Mixer foals.

I had 6 Stakes in Mixers; the rest were Allowance and below.

In TBs, I had:

2 Freaks
22 Stakes
52 Allowance
43 Productive
16 Solid
2 Claimer

Freaks are:
TR filly - Persian Force x Stay Lady Stay (Impacts). She appears to be Persian Force's first Freak
https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.ph ... ID=1883218
TM filly - Rand Al'thor x Wings of Fire (Fearless Spirit)
https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.ph ... ID=1871720

Stakes (10 colts/12 fillies)

My Dirt everything foals were somewhat disappointing this year.

I did have 5 4yr old Stakes/LB go to Freak Peak, and 5 3 yr olds Stakes/LB go to Freak Peak. So was happy about that. Now to see if they run like it.

In one of my stretches of sea days next month (I'm on an around the world cruise) - I need to write the article - "Yes, you should breed your formidable mares" - if you have the time and money. The majority of my freaks have been from formidable mares (Double Dog Dare Ya among others; Serendipities came from a "may surprise you" mare); most of which have some pedigree - but my most recent it was 4 generations back to a decent stakes winner.

I say this because it happened again - Wearing the Purple- https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.ph ... ID=1866068 - by Duke of Edinburgh out of unraced formidable mare Pink Elephants by Delirium - galloped freak.

and I had a lot of late blooming/progressive stakes runners;

so overall, not bad, not fabulous.

My only real bummer was that all of my late-blooming stakes 3yo's remained late blooming stakes gallopers
I'm just here for the fun of it

My numbers broke down to:

2 freaks (1 LB + 1 progressive)
2 stakes
31 allowance
22 productive
16 solid
5 claimer

The two freaks are my first two freaks I’ve ever bred so I’m super happy. The LB is out of Instinctive Belief so I’m SUPER keen on how she does

I’ve gotten into STBs lately (mostly pacers) and most were allowance so I’m at least happy about that. I didn’t breed a ton obvs because I’m still building a good barn but I’m happy with it! It’s so much better than my first serious go at breeding last year.

I did have one stakes prog upgrade to freak peak too in my racing barn so happy about that 😊

I’m most excited about this filly who is Stakes LB but posted some good workout times last year: https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.ph ... ID=1796268

Bit of a strange year. Stakes numbers are down a bit, but I'll take the two freaks, one of which is versatile. We'll see how this goes!

112 bred

2 freaks:
Nature Strip https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.ph ... ID=1883656
Talus https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.ph ... ID=1850983

9 stakes:
Magnum P.I.
Native Trail
No Nay Never
Nyx x2 (my only two dedicated TMs lol)
Talus x2
To the Breeze x2 (really happy with his results so far!)

31 alw (also low)
49 productive (sigh)
21 solid/claimer
LONG OVERDUE FARM: Keepin' it Canada since Year 16.
Stallions to meet your every need. As long as you need a turf sprinter.

I just re-ran my numbers without the two dud stallions I retired, and it confirmed I should be super, super happy with this Festivus as I am 43.75% allowance and above and 14.84% stakes and above. I'll take it!

5 freaks, which I pretty stoked about - only one colt (AWS by Lloyd's keeping It). 4 fillies by Cody's Wish, Nokk, Equinox, and Only One.

46 stakes (20 colts, 26 fillies):
avenger's Assemble, Bonecrusher, Can't take the Sky, Champion (LB), Cody's Wish, Dancing Silently (LB), Darkandstormynight, Destiny is All (LB), Diamond Dopey, Equinox (7, 5 are late bloomers), Escobar, Gunite (2, both LBs), Henry (2, both LBs), Impacts (LB), Instinctive Belief, Into the Mystic, Jupiter, Lightsong, master of Deception, No Nay Never, Nokk (5, 2 are late bloomers), Onyx (2, one LB), Orio (LB), River dance (LB), Rock N Roll (LB), The Devil's hand (LB), The Evil Empire (LB), Thrash, Tick Tick Boom (LB), Turn the Tables (LB), Van basten (LB), Woodsboro, Xyst (LB).

Pleased with finally getting results across almost all divisions, except turf mile. Need to do some more work on mares there.
