Re: Year 67 Gallops!
The random slide was NOT kind to me this year, especially not on my 6 A+ hypos! Only 2 came through to live up to the hypo and at least become stakes. The slide really disliked me this season QQ Even a 1,8 million lease with a A+ hypo gave me a PRODUCTIVE! I believe this is the worst year for me in recent years.
To not feel bad I created a custom barn called "Worth Training Barn" only consisting of Freaks, Stakes, Allowances and Productives. I'll simply ignore the lower levels and pretend like they never ever happened.
Anyways, these are my stats... UGH.
- 496 foals
Different Career: 26 - 5,63% (All bred to be chasers)
Claimers: 63 - 13,64%
Solid: 60 - 12,99%
Productive: 181 - 39,18%
Allowances: 118 - 25,54%
Stakes: 11- 2,38%
Freaks: 3 - 0,65%
I also cleared out my broodmare band from 455 mares down to 333! Out of frustration? Most likely.

Re: Year 67 Gallops!
When I got my two freak TRs last night I was excited and then literally my second thought was "better not get too excited until we see how Carol's yearlings work this season". You earned the nickname and will be back in force, I'm confident.Cleo Patra wrote: ↑1 month agoOoofff.. I had a season like that the one before Cinema was born. Nearly quit on the spot, so don't blame you for bashing your face against the wall. It always turns around when you have a quality barn like yours though, so keep trying!Carole Hanson wrote: ↑1 month ago An absolutely embarrassing result for me. Might just not breed this season.
54 foals
No freaks
4 stakes
And just the 1 stakes in TR. “Queen of the turf” they said

Re: Year 67 Gallops!
Not my best year, not my worst. No freaks this year but oh well.
Stakes are sired by James Bond, Thor, Holland Road (x2, one out of a Bannerlord mare), Napoleon, Strange the Dreamer, Country Bear, American Icon (out of a very lovely lease from Cleo, thank you!), Champion, Bannerlord, and Academy Award.
9 of those are late bloomers, with 1 progressive and 1 peak, so I have plenty of hope that at least a couple will make the jump up.
Another 72 are allowance and ~half of those are late bloomers, with only 12 peak.

"Meh" crop this year, honestly.
50 Yearlings.
1 Freak
17 Stakes - This group includes my Roughian daughter, my Shadow In The Moon daughter, one of Teal's twins, and a few other really nicely bred fillies. Plus some colts. Many Bloomers and Progressives in the group. Maybe some of them will end up developing into wonderful horses.
The rest can kick rocks. I especially think this productive late bloomer can bite it.
