1 claimer

19 stakes (5 peak, 8 progressive and 6 late bloomers)
3 freaks! All progressive
So that is 56% allowance or better

Lizzy (TX) - ch.f.1 - Equinox x Caesius
Praxidice (KY) - dkb.f.1 - Mace x Madame Justice
Royal Observer (NY) - bl.f.1 - Duke of Edinburgh x Red Alerts
Run Screaming (BRZ) - b.f.1 - Kingdom of Spiders x See the Best in You
Vitalize (CA) - bl.c.1 - Dreaming Tree x Stimulate

Freak Progressives:
Consulate (NY) - dkb.c.1 - Napoleon x Empire State of Mind
Glow Up (KY) - gr.f.1 - Auguste Rodin x Glitzy

My stakes gallopers by sire (bold if the sire gave me more than one):

American Pharoah (1 late bloomer)
Solarpunk (1 progressive)
Arizona (2 late bloomers)
Sir Bumpsalot (1 late bloomer)
Galaxy's Edge (1 progressive)
Flightline (1 late bloomer)
Drift King (1 progressive)
Tunnel of No Light (1 late bloomer)
Steamboat Willie (1 progressive)
Auguste Rodin (1 peak)
Owl Be Up Front (1 progressive and 1 late bloomer)
Fight Town (1 progressive)
Notacatbutalawyer (1 progressive)
Marowak (1 late bloomer)
Courageous Ben (2 progressive)
Champion (1 late bloomer)
Astro (1 progressive)
Country Bear (1 progressive)

AND, and I was so nervous to gallop Halley's first baby, but she is a stakes late bloomer, very sound and brave! (This is identical to how Halley first galloped, and they also have the same soundness and heart rating.)

I found out I need to put more thought into my breedings, unfortunately. And to also double check that I'm breeding the correct horses together

Anyways, I bred:
0 freaks ):
12 stakes (2 peak, 5 progressive, and 5 late bloomers)
128 allowance
193 productive
85 solid
114 claimer
21 different career (ngl, a couple of these were because I didn't double check the stud and mare I was breeding so I combined a couple different types :/ 15 are chasers, 4 are TRs that could be tried as chasers)

I also have 2 yearlings in transit to my home farm, and won't be able to gallop them for another 2.5 hours. Do I think they'll be freaks? Probably not, unfortunately

Happy as usual, got 5 freaks (the Goldfinch and Schuylkill fillies, plus a pair of Valley of Fires, plus a Duke of Edinburgh), and then 44 stakes so that'll be a fun mess to sort through.

Always weird to see what works and what does not! But very happy with what worked!

Just in case you weren't aware, if you notice this pretty quickly (hours/days later, and not after the year has turned over) you can get this fixed!

From the "What Can The Steward Do For You?" post in the help section:
Errors the Steward Can Fix For You
-Accidentally bred a mare to the wrong sire (please send links to mare, sire bred, and sire meant to breed)
-Color of a horse. Meant for your horse to be gray and it's white? We'll fix that. (please link to horse)
-Spelling of a name. (please link to horse)
-Put the wrong horse in auction (give names of horses, must be shortly after auction is posted)
-Accidentally foaled the wrong gender (link to foal).
(We each get 3 errors per year that they can fix.)

Unfortunately this was one of those things I didn't realize until after I galloped them 😭 but it's ok, my own mistake and I'll just have to live with it this time around. Thanks for the tip!

165 flat racing foals

2 Freaks- progressive and LB
17 stakes, 15 are improvers

So that is 11.5% stakes or above

38 allow (23%)
62 prod (37.5%)
19 solid and 27 claimer.

Both Hossy and Frosty were flops, with just one allowance foal between them, and have gone to AJ. They account for a good chunk of the lower gallops.

On the bright side:

Marvelstar has a stakes progressive baby sis https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.ph ... ID=1842046

I Am Nightraider has a freak LB by Impacts that is brave and sound with no weather preference (finally!) https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.ph ... ID=1845125

I Am Sock Raider has a stakes LB by Cataclyzm https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.ph ... ID=1878229

The other freak https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.ph ... ID=1859941

Every bit the disaster I knew it would be. In fact, worse! Year 68 is going to be brutal.

yearlings sucked, but 2 stakes fillies turn into freaks, one at 3, the other at 4, rather old to become freaky but there it is.. the yearlings will be ignored for a good while.. but racing should be better than last year with a couple of 2yo freaks joining the freak racers.. and none of the previous freaks dropped down even at 6 and 7yrs old.. but they werent really racing like freaks to begin with.. no loss there. onward and downward!
