TBS Auction - How Did Everyone Do?

Post by Laura Ferguson »

It looks like there were several freaks in this auction, too. I went with a filly who is from Napoleon's last crop, out of Aurora, and she galloped freak.

I was also looking at the Heaven Can't Help and Paddington fillies and the Dramatisation and Kingdom of Spiders colts.

The Burn Brighter colt was a freak.

The TR colt by Christian x Calls your Name is stakes peak very sound and brave

I sold the 2yo I brought by Kingdom of Spiders he was stakes peak also … sold him and for some reason also had it in my head that it frees up another purchase spot… so it’s time for me to learn it does not

Stakes peak, somewhat unsound and timid 🙄 don't think he was worth the amount I paid for him, but I'll live I suppose

For anyone that got a stakes/peak, don't fret. Improvement is always possible.
This girl: https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.ph ... ID=1575370 was allowance/late bloomer (longer career) from her first gallop. On the Y63/64 break, she bumped up to stakes/peak. On this past break (Y66/67), she bumped again to freak/peak. I'll see on Week 2 whether or not she runs like a freak.

she is also a homebred. Stewbreds are programmed peak and they usually never improve. I have never seen one in the modern era improve after initial gallop

There seems to be ALOT of stakes peak yearlings… I don’t think I’ve ever gotten anything but peak yearlings from an auction before but has anyone ever gotten a progressive steward bred? Or LB
