John, I would not put too much meaning into the "labels" on the horses. Having a "stakes" comment can mean your horse can be a low level stakes, a mid level stakes or a high level stakes. When so many others also have the same going on it can be a real crap shoot as to who might win any specific stakes race.

I have found that the majority of my stakes horses struggle against other stakes horses or Freaks in the higher levels - sometimes even in the listed stakes. They have to prove that they are ready to go against stronger competition with either an elite SF or by winning with little effort before I'll chance them. Your mileage may differ, as always.

Yeah - I think my horses look a lot better on paper than on the track... think someone turned the volume down in the barn! They don't seem to be handling the break very well...
