I love beagles! But each one has their own idiosyncrasies. Our current beagle is pretty well behaved but if our neighbor's garage is open, he has an uncontrollable desire to dash across the street and check it out.

I have a beagle x bloodhound here. She is so incredibly intelligent but took 3.5 years of solid daily training to get her into a comfortable place haha

She's 10 now, has about 95% recall and can be off-leash in known areas. Still determined enough to run long distances for food scraps, however!!
