Re: Jo Ferris Mixer Auction 2 - Gallop Notes
Auction ends tomorrow!
Unlike the last sale, this one I don't have anyone who stands out on their own, however, I'll make a couple notes on the 3 Paint stakes cause I like all 3 of them.
Bad Puzzle's filly I was really on the fence as to whether to keep her, and ultimately decided to sell her as I do have a 3yo off her already. He female line goes back to my HOF mare Neverinthemiddle who was my first great Paint and what got me into the breed. She's GP sired so will qualify for the GP sired races and should be able to produce versatile foals though she herself likely won't race well at other distances. She is also the last Stakes filly that will be for sale this year (3 more stakes in the next auction, but all are colts, 2 route, 1 mid)
Middle Daughter's colt I definitely would've kept if he was a filly. He's sired by my newer game added stallion KC and should again be able to produce versatile foals (can you tell which direction I'm taking my stable currently, lol). Her dam is young and hasn't produced too much yet, but is out of a mare that I honestly underrated quite a bit, she's been a lovely producer for my barn and I have quite a few nice broodmares out of her. Also, fun fact, Middle Daughter's full sister Tough Town also produced a stakes by KC this year.
You and Tequila's colt is another one that if only he was a filly I would've kept... You and Tequila is a Kissin' Frogs granddaughter and sired by Blue Corazon. What can I say, Kissin' Frogs mares love Blue Corazon. Another one that'll be able to run in GP sired races and again, another that should be able to produce versatile foals.
I'm sure Free Sweets' colt is lovely, but I'm so sick of Arabs, someone please just take him and enjoy him
