I bought this big horse named Broken Rules the moment steeplechasing became available. I wanted to take a chance so I bought him for $200. Surely he couldn't let me down, right?
I retired Broken Rules tonight, now that he has won $473,950 and amassed 237 points, including stakes wins in the Mayday Dash, Trim the Hedges Hurdle, Champion Hurdle Challenge Trophy, King George IV Chase, Irish Grand National, and the Gold Cup Handicap Chase. He helped finance me in more ways than one, and I am forever grateful.
He's currently pensioned at Madrona Ridge. He finished 4th today in the Amish, and deserves the rest... though we hope he won't end up jumping out of every pasture he gets in!
