I wanted to post a short note to let everyone know that I have finally made up my mind about Bens future. Although his short term plan in not solidified yet, his long term plans are pretty much set. Ben will run a somewhat light schedule this year and each race will be picked while keeping the SC turf mile week 16 in mind. He will show up a little better rested this year we hope. Immediately following the SC Ben will be retired to the breeding shed. His fee will be determined largely on how he finishes out his career. I am still trying to decide where it would be most beneficial to stand him geographically (not only for he and I but for a program as well) and would appreciate any input on this decision. I am excited for year 21 to get rolling and look forward to getting back to racing! Good luck on the track! See you all soon. :D

Please tell me he's not making adding another Euro SIMMY award to his trophy case a priority for year 21?

I would personally like to see Ben standing stateside, Kentucky, Florida or California. Benjamin Franklin should be producing American foals. B)

I don't know, as I always heard it, ol' Ben got his freak on in France pretty good...

I am so happy to hear that he will be retiring this year since there is a mare I'm leasing that I really really want to send to him! Thanks for letting us know Mac.

I think Benjamin Franklin should stand in Pennsylvania, specifically near Philadelphia. So Benjamin Franklin should stand at Hill Valley Equestrian Center.

Just a friendly reminder to keep Big Ben on your list for those turf mares.

<a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/race.php?RaceID=34457' target='_blank'>Free Breeding</a>

The winner of the race listed above will be offered a free breeding to Ben if the winning breeder is interested. I will be doing this for a few races throughout the year. Good luck and I'll see you all at the track!

Long live the SIM

Wish I had known about that. I would have shipped Makybe Legend to Japan instead of Great Britain. Will there be others like this? With more of a heads up, maybe?

Yes there will be others and I will do my best to give more notice. I just wanted to get the ball rolling with this one. ;)
