<a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=46402' target='_blank'>Here he is.</a>

He is awesome, and all set for the Kentucky Blue stakes on Friday. Here's hoping my one-state strategy continues to pay off.

His story: Unlike other famous stakes winners in my barn, I spent $1,000,000 on him when I had about $1,010,000 in my account. I broke the bank for him because I knew Worth The Effort's sister was likely to go for more, and I didn't have time to scrape together the amount I expected.

And his name broke the tie for me. Anyone who talks to me long enough knows that I. Fight. Crime.

And so I had to buy Crime Fighter, and I'm cautiously optimistic that he'll prove that million dollar investment to be wise.

Makes me want to put a cape on.

Just a note to commemorate Crime Fighter's win in the Baltimore Special over Boise State Boy and Gabe. I love this guy, and he'll go from the Crown undercard to the Long Island Classic undercard on Friday this week.

Don't do the Crime if you can't do the TIME (cue Baretta).

Just to dispell a notion I read in the Feature Race:

Crime Fighter is NOT retiring at the end of the year unless something astounding happens to make it insanely profitable for me. There's a 99 percent chance he's running through his five year old season.

It's easy to talk up a favorite when he's hot.

It's not as easy to pep talk him after a rough race.
