I made the same mistake :( Wanted to see what my new mixed breeds could do on the track...

One Obvious Choice : Pulled a suspensory ligament. Off until 2008-12-21
Worked: 300 yrds in 0:16.84

Crazy Heat : Has a bruised hoof. Off until 2008-11-23
Worked: 2f in 0:23.09

My paint filly, Zipped To Quick, escaped injury after working 300yds in 0:17.43

No more works for me!

I only worked my mixed breeds who were 2 yrs and older. The rest of my yearlings are all waiting until Week 5 (for routers) and Week 6 or 7 (for milers/sprinters).

But at least I got to be button happy! I figure the new breed races are going to be choked full at the beginning anyway, a few weeks rest from a workout won't harm them. ;)

I had a horse injured that never even had a workout? Is she going to a fragile horse?

Was it a 2yo? Every year a certain percentage of random 2yos buck their shins at the start of the year.

Well, his sire was definitely a dirt horse, but I know absolutely NOTHING about Lido Palace in the SIM. However, his sire was a router, so if his dam's side is router at all, the colt is going to want longer works than 2f.
