This guy is my first really good colt. Hopefully, he'll become my first real stallion! Anyway, he just won his first G1 race "well in hand" by three lengths with a good speed figure and has been entered in his second. So far, he's done little wrong on the track, with five wins and one second in six starts.
His pedigree is something to talk about too, as he's a half brother to the awesome sire Performing Tricks, Steward's Cup winners Afraid to Let Go and Afraid to Lead, Los Campeones Turf and South American Horse of the Year Trip, and fast two year old stakes winner Afraid to Smile. On the top side, his sire is the incomparable Opening Night, who has nearly 79% winners and 19% stakes winners.
Yea, I'm kinda in love.

Thanks Slots!
And...grade one win number two in the Caulfield Derby! Haven't been able to pay as much attention as I would like, but maybe he's making a run at a SIMMY nomination? Can't wait to see his headshot--fairly certain I actually ordered it.![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif)

Re: Afraid to Follow
Won a nice G2 in Hong Kong this last Friday, in one of his fastest times ever. He's staying in Asia for the rest of the year. I'm still trying to decide whether I want him to go back and try again at the Steward's Cup or stay in Asia and then probably retire after Week 15.

Re: Afraid to Follow
AtF won the Wadakura Mile in Toyko by a length and he will be finishing out the year with the Buddha Trophy and the Hong Kong Turf Mile. At that point, he'll probably be retired, though I haven't conclusively decided.
