Isn't that a horse's name? (Em's A Saint)
But she really is. Just today she was pointing out to me I was racing a colt of mine on dirt when he should be on turf. Poor little guy, having to put up with me as an owner.

I'd like to offer up that it wasn't free advice, the colt was by a turf sire out of a turf mare and a half to two turf stakes horses... I was merely suggesting she take a look at the family.
And thank you guys, you are very sweet. I'm not sure how I managed today because around 7 pm I only had 30 of 87 races done, and I was going no where fast, but at 11:50 I was finished and killing time til 12.

Strange to think Santa Anita this week, Keeneland week after this coming one, and Churchill the week after that... with Hollywood Park around the corner... soon to be a globetrotter.

Right, I didn't mean to insinuate I was prying game-valuable information from The Steward. I'm sorry about that. I got so caught up in the colt's half siblings who ran on dirt I forgot about the turfers, and somehow did not realize Derby Dancer (or was it Sunday Silence? SIM's down so I can't remember) threw mostly turf babies. The Steward wrote: I'd like to offer up that it wasn't free advice, the colt was by a turf sire out of a turf mare and a half to two turf stakes horses... It was my stupid moment of the day.

I keep trying to pry information, and she holds strong all the time. Constantly reminding me that she can't tell me anything she wouldn't tell any one of you... darn!
For example, I will ask, should I run so and so in this race? And she will reply with a simple "
". So then I ask several different ways on the same questions, but still only get that smile face.
Then there is the wonderful fact that I can't remember things, so I ask the same questions over and over for a whole different reason.
So I think she gets the biggest "saint" reward for dealing with me and my questions.
I am not sure what entertains her more, seeing my reaction when a horse of mine wins (See Popa Wheely!!) or when one loses - and badly!! (See Hot Every Night!!). I am thinking I have more fun things to say when Hot Every Night runs... or is it that she walks... or crawls... or lays down and takes a nap... She really ROCKS!! That is "like a rock"
