Connor

Original article written by Stina Vica posted 5 months 3 weeks ago

In today's article I would like to introduce you to a stallion who retired a few days ago. Some of you will know him, or should I say probably all who like dirt router horses.

Connor is a four year old bay stallion. He is the son of Can't Take The Sky and Stormfall. Also in his pedigree are; Doctor, Mary Million, Prince Louder, Through the Ghost and Harry Potter. He was bred by The Steward and is owned by Gavin Guile.

The Dirt router has won some great races including; The Priceless Forever stakes, Xett Stakes, Deals with the Devil stakes and of course the great Scott Eiland Memorial Desert Marathon. In this big race over 2 miles, Connor was able to win half a million $ in prize money.
He started in the number two box and was able to find a good race. He was in good midfield and could keep his position as 4/5 of 8 horses good. Then in the long stretch Connor could improve more and more. The further the horses came from the back to the front, the more the bay stallion could use his speed. In the end Connor could win close but well, leaving horses like; Byron, The Chevalier, Encanto and And Then We Danced behind.

In his racehorse life Connor could win a total of $1,098,000 and that with a best speed figure of 96.
The stallion has run 16 races and won 9 of them. He also finished second 2 times and third once. In general you can say that Connor liked longer distances more.

Connor retired in W13 D6. He was brought to Oakwoods Farms by his owner and his stud fee was set at $40,000 for the first time.

There was a lot of talk about the young stallion in the forum. On the one hand about disappointing hypos and on the other hand about the kind of mares. Gavin Guile said that he was a little disappointed about the hypos he got with his new stud. Some players wrote about their experiences and so on.

I personally think that Connor is definitely worth a look. I tested one of my Blue Hens with him and got a Flat A and I am not disappointed at all. So for dirt router lovers maybe worth a look. Make you your own opinion.
