Every horse is different

Original article written by Stina Vica posted 5 months 1 week ago

Nothing in the world, nothing in racing and nothing in SIMhorseracing is the same, we have differences everywhere from which everything and everyone is unique.
In SIM, no two horses are the same, whether it's the color, the markings, the name, or their preferences and equipment. You may know where I am trying to go with this; in this article I would like to share my thoughts and experiences, as well as certain facts about the gallop comments and what they mean.

'has shown he comes from the clouds and needs a pace to run at';
The horse likes to close from far back and will probably do best in races where there are multiple front-runners. If other players don't enter enough pure speed, you can sacrifice a "rabbit" to set a hot pace, even a sprinter if needed. This horse usually runs from the very back to the front and would then, in the best case, overtake all the horses in front of it.

'What a bunch of natural speed .. has! I'm impressed';
Horses that have a 'speed' comment usually like it if they are leading runners or generally want to get to the front quickly. I think these are the horses that will bring speed to the whole race. This horse usually runs from the front and in the best case stays in front until the finish line.

'is tractable and doesn't seem to mind being held behind another horse';
I think the comment speaks for itself here. Your horse is easier than others I would say. The horse can hang on to another horse like a 'stalker' and do its best again in the stretch. This horse usually runs out of the middle and in the best case would overtake the front runners.

Since you can't choose the comments and they can be different for every horse, you have to be able to deal with them. You can summarize the horses into 3 categories; front, stalker, closer. Which matches up with the 3 gallop comments, speed, tractable, clouds. I think every horse will be able to race best when everything they like is given. For example, for a clouds horse you would need one or more horse, so that the horse could catch up and overtake. With the Tractable horse, it would probably be good to have a horse that takes the lead so that the stalker can overtake at the end. I think a speed horse will always run to the front. I think the progress of the race and the post position are more important here.
