I would like to know how much time others put towards the SIM. I think I average 2 - 3 hours a day about 4 or 5 days a week (if not more).
It is very addicting and I do enjoy it, but I find I am trying to understand so much information and I am still learning about horse racing in general. Also, it doesn't help that I have "buy it now" syndrome - best not to even go to the sale page for me.

Too much.
But I'm doing better than last time.
I probably spend, accumatively, one hour a weekday on the SIM, although I leave it and return several times, as if something will change. Results night/weekend, I'll probably spend 4 or more hours, just going over things again.
It certainly is addicting, but Drew, work, and school keep it in check.
Although, I think the real question should be: how much time do you spend THINKING about the SIM? Because I'll be walking to class/getting dressed/driving/taking notes, imagining what my horses look like, thinking of new, cool names, plotting schedules, etc.

Oh geez, I don't know. I homeschool myself, and I basically live on the computer, and when I'm on the computer, I can't resist poking around on the SIM. At least 3 hours. I'm also working on something that I need the database for, so that's like 2-4 hours a day. It's terrible, I'm supposed to be writing papers but I end up writing out paragraphs about SIM horses.
And I do enjoy checking out the sales page for pretty horseys, but I also have one of the highest turnover rates in the SIM and it's dangerous for me to even go there. Best to stare at my current horses and kiss their noses and give them carrots.

Way, WAY too much time. I am on the SIM usually 6 - 8 hours a day, results day much longer, making sure things are running smoothly.
In good news, I found before that I would think about the SIM constantly, then I would be burned out. Now I notice that I can shut off SIM thoughts pretty easily, like when I'm out and about, etc.
