Well I'm in DESPERATE need of money, since I obliterated my bankroll with breedings last year, so I'm going to be offering a few sessions of some of my broodmares, yearlings, and possibly some of racing age. Right now, I've gone through some of my broodmares, and reluctantly decided to put them up for auction. Some of these are actually really nice mares who just got shuffled to the backburner for me (I have 100 mares right now, and that's a little too much). This will run like my other ones I've had before, where it will theoretically end at midnight, but if it goes over that's fine. I will officially end it on the morning of June 3, when I get out of bed and sign into the SIM. So good luck, and happy bidding!
Hip #1: <a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=29480' target='_blank'>A Sure Bet</a>: 5yo dark bay mare (Stravinsky-A Sure Thing [Tulloch])
A Sure Bet was a maiden winner in just six starts lifetime, earnings $11,800. She also finished third in a straight allowance. Her mother, A Sure Thing, was a two-time winner while finishing on the board in seven of thirteen starts. Her granddam, A Royal Pain, won the Grade 1 Ramona Handicap in Year 7, while also finished on the board in the Humana Distaff (G2), Kentucky Cup Ladies Turf (G2)-twice, Woodbine Mile (G1), Falls City Handicap (G2), Beverly D. Stakes (G1), Fiji Stakes (G3), Tejano's Pride Stakes, and Vinery First Lady Stakes (G1). A Sure Thing is a sister to three-time winner A Royal Future, five-time winner (including the Studs Gladness Stakes) Royal Ovation, Maryland Million Turf (over the boys!) victor Royal Rival, Yasuda Kinen (JPN) winner Royalty Dancing, and SIMMY Champion Sprinter on TWO continents, Yakima.
Ronda Figal: $50,000
Hip #2: <a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=24328' target='_blank'>Amura</a>: 6yo dark bay mare (Pulpit-Gandra [Green Desert])
Amura is a winner on the turf, and has compiled earnings of $47,050. She has a STELLAR real life pedigree, being by the beautifully-bred sire Pulpit, out of a Canadian Champion 3yo Filly. Gandria earned almost $700,000 in real life, including winning the Prince of Wales Stakes and Algoma Stakes. Amura's four-year-old half-brother by Rock Hard Ten has raced six times, only finishing off the board once, that being in his debut, where he was entered completely out of context in a sprint race on the dirt. He successfully broke his maiden going a mile and a half on the turf Week 10 of last year, and followed that up with a nice second place effort in an open allowance in his most recent start. I feel bad having just bought this mare about two months ago and selling her right off the bat, but I totally obliterated my bankroll in stud fees, and I really need to get some of my mares some new homes.
Reserve: $50,000
Hip #3: <a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=21362' target='_blank'>Convert Religion</a>: 5yo bay mare (Freud-Convert For Life [Commitisize])
Convert Religion probably could have won at some point, but I was new when I got her and really just wanted a nice broodmare prospect, which she certainly is! First of all, her sire is Freud, a full brother to Giant's Causeway. Also, her dam, Convert For Life, was a two-time winner as well as was 2nd in the Grade 3 Fiji Stakes. Convert Religion is a half-sister to Enamored (2x winner and earner of almost $100,000), Lifelong Dream (3x winner of over $70,000 and the dam of 4x winner and MGSP Hotel Lights and Grade 1 and 6x winner Star Glow), Play the Fool (3x winner and 3rd in the Arlington Million), Terminate on Sight (2x winner and G2SP), and Unspoken Hero (MSW). That isn't even going back to her granddam, Tuzla! I won't go into THAT much detail, but the brief synopsis of her foals includes Crystal Night (OUTSTANDING sire, and earner of over $8 million), Farewell Friend (over $3.8 million), Havoli Makahikihou (over $4.7 million), Littlebit Excited (over $1.3 million), Romantisize (over $400k), Runaway (over $3 million), Stained Glass (over $250k), Student's Revenge (over $200l), Super Hero (over $2.5 million), and Tonight (over $100k). I won't even touch the grandchildren of Tuzla, because that could take FOREVER. Just take a look if you aren't familiar with Tuzla, and you'll be stunned!
Susie Raisher: $75,000
Hip #4: <a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=13449' target='_blank'>Faith</a>: 7yo chestnut mare (Three Ring Circus-Dreams to Dream [Tilt A Whirl])
Faith finished on the board in 50% of her races, including one win in a maiden special weight. Her dam, Dreams to Dream, was also a winner as well as stakes-placed. Her own dam, Breakaway, was a 6x winner, including winning the Matriarch (G1), Mother Goose (G1), Ashland (G1), and was 2nd in the Kentucky Oaks (G1). Breakaway's foals include Break Dancer (2x winner and placed in the Prix de l'Abbaye de Longchamp, 2000 Guineas, Warpaint S, Breeders' Stakes, Texas Turf Challenge, Early Times Turf Classic, and Hollywood Turf Championship), Breakthesurface (4x winner), Crown Me King (MSW), Dubai Dreamer (earner of $1.8 million and sire of Power of the Dream, who earned over $100k and was his ONLY foal), Dubai Dreamer (MSW), and This Means War (3rd in Irish Derby).
Michelle Calderoni: $75,000
Hip #5: <a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=5909' target='_blank'>Starabovemybed</a>: 10yo bay mare (Chief Bearhart-Silver Gold [Mighty Grey])
I just realized that I own ALL of Silver Gold's fillies who are still alive, and that seems a little silly. This is another mare that I feel very badly for selling so soon after purchasing her, but like I said earlier, I just have too many mares sitting around. Starabovemybed was never out of the money in eight career starts, and her worst finish was a fifth place run on dirt, when she clearly was a turf horse. Starabovemybed is also a sister to Fool's Gold (MSW winner, 3rd in the Irish Derby as well as the Kentucky Cup Turf [G2]), Gold Glitter (2nd in the Jersey Stakes), Silver Charisma (MSW winner and 2nd in the QEII Stakes in England, also the dam of Tarnish of Silver [winner and 3rd in Wood Memorial]), Silver Glitter (MSW winner), Solid Gold (2nd in Phoenix Sprint Stakes-twice, 3rd in Sprinters Stakes), and Chosen (MSW and 3rd in PA Sweetheart).
The Steward: $150,000
Hip #6: <a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=21085' target='_blank'>Glorious Ballet</a>: 5yo chestnut mare (Moscow Ballet-Moonlight Glory [Effortless Focus])
Glorious Ballet is the dam of recent maiden winner Gavotte, who has been on the board in 5 of 8 lifetime starts, and her 3yo Glorious Storm was second Week 15 of last year. Her dam was a 3x winner in earning over $100,000. Probably her most appealing feature is that Moonlight Glory is a half-sister to Affirmed Star, the Champion Female Turf Horse of Year 5. Affirmed Star earned $1,220,000 during a career which included wins in the Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf (G1) and Vinery First Lady (G1). She was the dam of Affirmed Champion ($1.8 million), Aspiration II ($840k), Believe in Love (almost $100k and the dam of three foals earning over $100k each), Lonely Star ($300k), Nitestar (4 wins), Sparkling Star (the dam of Afraid to Love-in turn the dam of millionaire Afraid to Lose, Afraid to Soar, Afraid to Dream-, Four of Wands-the dam of Four of Rivals, Four of Stars, Three of Crowns, Two of Angels and Two of Dreams...all but one being millionaires-, No Greater Love, One Last Dance, Wordsaheartcantsay-Australian Oaks (G1)-, and Three of Hearts-champion filly and the dam of this year's SIMMY nominee Three Red Roses), etc. Also, Moonlight Glory's other half-sister, The Starlet Nite, was a winner and stakes performer who died before producing any offspring.
Tammy Fox: $100,000
Hip #7: <a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=27716' target='_blank'>Lip</a>: 5yo bay mare (Aptitude-Lib [Unbridled])
Lip ran second in her career debut, the UAE 1000 Guineas, behind Beatofmyheart, and followed that up with a nose victory at Pimlico in a MSW. I really screwed up her racing career, so she probably could have been better than she was, yet she still earned over $75,000. Her pedigree includes A.P. Indy, Northern Dancer, Unbridled, etc., so she has all of the classic lines in her family. I can't go any farther into her, since her female family isn't complete in the pedigree database. Also take note that Aptitude is the real life sire of Steppenwolfer, who has two winners from four foals in the SIM.
Amy Schmidt: $60,000
Hip #8: <a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=21489' target='_blank'>Money Thief</a>: 5yo chestnut mare (Captain Steve-Takethemoneynrun [Nothirdchances])
Money Thief won twice in her career, including breaking her maiden in such a fashion that her running line stated: "Went to lead, found no challengers, drew off, electrifying." Her dam is a half-sister to Female Champion Sprinter Sterling Apollo, who in turn is the mother of prolific sire Riches Are Grand, multiple stakes winner Plethora, Grade 3 winner Synclavier, and 4x winner Aslan. While she looks to be a nice producer of milers, she also won going six furlongs, so she seems to be versatile.
Martin Pennington: $50,000
Hip #9: <a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=24231' target='_blank'>Mouth Wide Shut</a>: 5yo bay mare (Silent Witness-Lady's Prize [Gentlemen])
Mouth Wide Shut finished on the board in 50% of her races, including breaking her maiden in her career debut. In fact, if you discount her second start, a G1 race in Japan, she never finished worse than fourth. She is also a sister to Shining Prize (dam of Road To Summer-MSW). Her female family traces back to Heavenly Prize, the real life super mare, and dam of Pure Prize (real life horse), Rapid Bay (multiple stakes winner and outstanding sire and broodmare sire), etc. Heavenly Prize herself is out of Oh What a Dance, making Heavenly Prize a sibling to Dancinginmydreams and Oh What A Windfall.
Martin Pennington: $65,000
Hip #10: <a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=18986' target='_blank'>Mrs. Laptop</a>: 6yo chestnut mare (Mr. Greeley-Laptop [Phone Trick])
Mrs. Laptop is the dam of one winner from one foal to race, that being a Buddha filly named Rahula. Mrs. Laptop's half-brother is multiple stakes winner Bombay. Her granddam is Roll Over Baby, the dam of real life stakes horses Value Plus, Incriminate, Majorbigtimesheet, etc. Take note the Value Plus is the sire of 11 winners in the SIM, including multiple stakes winner Blue Light Special.
Adrienne: $50,000

Just a reminder that this will be ending in two days. I also lowered a few of the reserves, but these are final where they stand. Those that haven't received bids really are nice broodmares!
A Sure Thing's broodmare sire is TULLOCH, who everyone wants if they have turf needs.
Amura is by PULPIT, who as a broodmare sire has the newly turned 3yo For All Time (Grade 1), etc.
Mrs. Laptop is by MR. GREELEY, and is a half-sister to multiple stakes winner Bombay. Her dam is also a sister to Value Plus, Incriminate, etc.
