The Value Of The New Player Sales Section

Original article written by Mr. Lord Rich posted 11 years 1 week ago

Hello Simhorseracing.com Community,

I am back with another article to help out some of our new players to the racing community.

The focus of this article is the "New Player Sales" section under the "Buy/Lease Horses" under "My Office" on the top bar. The "New Player Sales" section was created for the new players only. Junior, Intermediate and Veteran players do not have access to this section. The section only allows for horses to be placed in it with a maximum buyout of $10,000 sim dollars. There are also several horses listed for as little as $1 sim dollar.

When a owner chooses to list a horse for sale, they have the option of choosing to list it in the "New Player Sales Section". Many Veteran owners will place their horses in this section to allow new players the chance to possibly pick up a good quality horse at a decent price. Also when player leaves the game or is away for an extended period of time, there horses are given to Alexandra Jaysman. The owners that send their horses to greener pastures are also given to Alexandra. She is the owner of all horses without homes. I believe the account is owned by the game staff and is used to clean up the inactive barns.

Often times Alexandra Jaysman "AJ" as many call her will list her horses into the "New Player Sales" section for a price of $1000 sim dollars. This is the minimum price and the maximum price she will list a horse for. It never changes. As the majority of the horses listed by her are abandoned due to inactive accounts, there are often times value in some of these horses.

Below is a list of some of the better horses I have found in the "New Players Sales" section.

Kymbo - 2YO Unraced Filly: I Purchased her for $1 sim dollar from an active owner on 04-03-13
She raced on 04-05-13 and finished 1st earning me $10,000 sim dollars
She raced on 04-22-13 and finished 2nd earning me $2,640 sim dollars.

Second Hand - 8YO Gelded Male - 24 Previous Races:
I purchased him for $1000 sim dollars from AJ on 04-13-13.
He raced on 04-15-13 and finished 2nd earning me $14,300 sim dollars.

Dutch Courage - 6YO Gelded Male - 13 Previous Races:
I Purchased him for $1000 sim dollars from AJ on 04-09-13.
He raced on 04-15-13 and finished 1st earning me $7,500 sim dollars.

Nobody Likes Me - 4YO Filly - 14 Previous Races :
I purchased her for $1000 sim dollars from AJ on 04-22-13S.
He raced on 04-24-13 and finished 1st earning me $6.000 sim dollars.

If you add these four horses up, I spent a total of $3001 sim dollars and possibly another $1000 to 1500 in shipping costs putting me around $4601 sim dollars spent. My approximate return from these horses minus the money I spent to purchase them is $35839 sim dollars.

Just these examples alone make it work searching the "New Player Sales" section often to try and find that diamond in the rough. I can tell you that I am searching there every chance I get.

Good luck out there and I hope you all find lots success in your searches.

-Pete
