A summary of W11 in the magnificent world of turf!

Starting In Canada on Day 1 where 5yo mare Signaling (Improvisational) beat the boys in the Toronto International was run over a mile and a half for trainer Eric Nalbone. It was her 16th win at her twentieth start giving her more wins than her famous dam Highland Trove. She has a companion goat named Buck.

In Barbados the 3yos did battle in the Barbados 2000 Guineas over 10 furlongs on a good track where the winner was The Boss (Vadeni) for trainer Gigi Gofaster. It was his first G1 win and his third career win at his nineth start.

In Asia on Day 5 where 5yo mare I’ll Burn For You (Still Fire) beat the boys in the Hong Kong Champions Route over a mile and a half for trainer Mike Springer. It was her twelfth win and seventh G1 win at her eighteenth start. She has a companion cat named Bartles.

In Europe the 3yos raced in the Irish Derby over a mile and a half where the winner was Midnight In Africa (Ivor) for trainer Gerry Hardie. It was his first G1 win though he came second in the London Derby last start. He is out of G1 winner Midnight Macchiato.

The 3yo fillies also did battle raced over a mile and a half in the Irish Oaks the winner by a nose was Heaven Beside You (Amor de Verano) for trainer Lisa Bennert. It was the eighth win from nine starts for the $5 Million Steward purchase.

The King George Stakes was run on a soft track over a mile and a half where the winner was Temple Of The Cat (Impacts) a home bred 4yo colt for trainer Brian Leavitt. He is out of dual G1 winner Catonarainbowbridge and has a companion cat named Maddie.

In North America the 3yos ran over a mile in the Burns Memorial Stakes the winner was The Special (Nightwatch) for Rochelle Bos. It was his sixth win from seven starts and second G1 win. He is out of G1 winner Lego.

The Chriselliam Memorial Stakes was run for 3yo fillies over a mile with Torre Ciega (Racing Heartbeat) the winner by 3 lengths for trainer Peter Quill. It was her third G1 win from eight starts and she has a companion cat named Spaniard.

In Australia the 3yos raced over a mile and half in the Australian Derby where King Owen (Still Fire) was the winner for Durzo Blint. It was his third career win at his nineth start for the $2.5 million Steward purchase.

In the White Diamond Stakes 2yo filly Cleo The Snuggler (Zog) beat the boys over 6 furlongs for trainer Brian Leavitt. It was her fifth win from six starts and her first G1 win. Her headshot is awesome.

The All Star Mile was run over a mile and won by 5yo gelding Spanish Sahara (Backstreet Boy) for Rebecca Rose Hepburn. It was his sixteenth win at his 22nd start and he has a companion goat named Foals.
