A summary of W12 in the amazing world of turf!

Starting in North America on Day 1 this week where the Beverly B Stakes was run for Fillies and Mares over 9 furlongs. The winner was Sand (Contrail) a 5yo homebred for Nena Olson out of her dual G1 winner Oceanside who is herself out of the magnificent Titanic.

In the Secretariat Derby 3yo filly Tearless Rf (Antton) beat the boys by 2 and ¾ lengths over 9 furlongs for trainer Laura Ferguson. It was her sixth win at her eighth start and her third G1 win.

The Chicago Million was run over a mile and a quarter where the winner was Persian Force (Federico Tesio) for Gerry Hardie. It was his twelfth win at his seventeenth start including nine G1 wins. He has a companion cat named Ibrox.

The Canadian Breeders Stakes was run over a mile and a half where 3yo filly Cause For Concern (Still Fire) beat the boys for trainer Ma Springs. It was her first G1 win and third career win.

On Day 5 in Asia the Queen’s Cup was run over 11 furlongs for Fillies and Mares where Sensationalize (Impacts) was a 3 length winner for Laurel Adams. It was her seventh win from fifteen starts and she has a companion cat named Jasmine.

In Europe the London Futurity was run for 2yos over a mile where the winner was Fenris (Mishriff) for Rebecca Rose Hepburn. It was his second win at his third start and he has a companion cat named Howl.

The 2yo fillies ran over the same distance in the London Debutante where The Moment I Knew (Modern Games) remained unbeaten for Abby Brooks. She is a half sister to G1 winner Bedtime Secrets and has a companion cat named Taylor.

Tima (I Am Inevitable) won the Prix Eiffel Sprint Stakes over 6 and a half furlongs. The Matthew McMahon homebred is out of the magnificent mare Pymble and is now nine wins from twelve starts. He has a companion cat named Baby Tima.

The Worldwide Stakes was run over a mile and a quarter with 5yo horse Snapped (Ivor) winning for Darcy McBride. It was his second G1 win and eighth career win from 19 starts and he has a companion cat named Rags.

In South Africa the Hitch A Ride Sprint was run on a yielding track over 6 furlongs. The winner was Cinderblock (Mattawan) a 3yo colt for Gigi Gofaster. It was his first G1 win and his fifth win from thirteen career starts.

In North America the Oceanside Derby was run for 3yos over 9 furlongs where the winner was Streets Of London (With Drama) a homebred for Carolyn Eaton. It was his sixth win from nine career starts including 3 G1 wins. He has a companion goat named Handy.

The 3yo fillies battled in the Oceanside Oaks over 9 furlongs with All Shook Up (Shaken Not Stirred) the winner for Ronnie Dee. It was the fifth career win from eight starts and second G1 win.

The Oceanside Dash was run over 5 and a half furlongs where 3yo colt Genghis Khan (Mama Beat Papa) was the winner for Cesar Raez. He is a grandson of Music Of The Heart who produced Red Balloon, Cinematic and The White Glove amongst others. It was his first G1 win and third win overall from twelve starts.

In Australia the Sydney Trophy was run over 2 miles where the winner was Pademus (Be Right There) for trainer Kaine Saracen. It was his fourteenth win at his 27th start and he has a companion cat named Monty.

The Caulfield Derby was run for 3yos over a mile where the winner was Ink Black Heart (Nightwatch) for Katie Stepanian. It was his fourth win at his ninth start and third G1 win.

The Northern Australian Oaks was run for 3yo fillies over a mile and a quarter where the winner was Goodbye Yesterday (Lusteroflostthings) for Stormy Peak. She is a half sister to G1 winner and now sire Forever Knight.
